Wader feeding sites in New Zealand

New Zealand has a large number of harbours, estuaries and coastal mud flats that provide rich feeding grounds. In summer, tens of thousands of international migratory waders use these sites, which in winter are also home to a similar number of New Zealand breeding waders.
