Story: Feature film

Sione's wedding, 2005

A quartet of New Zealand's leading Samoan performers, who were also the team behind the stage act Naked Samoans and the animated television series Bro' town, were the stars of the 2005 hit comedy Sione's wedding. They play a group of likeable idiots, desperate to make the grade so they can attend a friend's wedding. Auckland, the world's largest Polynesian city, provides the setting. The film proved a huge local hit and spawned a 2012 sequel.
