These tables provide a summary of New Zealand's record against the other test-playing countries, and the records of the leading New Zealand players at January 2015. The top eight players by test appearances, total wickets and total runs are shown, and the leading six players by the number of wicketkeeping dismissals and by the number of matches which they captained. Not suprisingly, Stephen Fleming and Daniel Vettori, who have played in an era when there has been a large number of test matches, both figure highly.
