This graph shows the age and gender structure for Koreans living in Auckland in 2023, compared with the structure for Aucklanders generally. The student population accounts for the particularly high numbers of young Koreans in their teens and twenties. Also noticeable is the imbalance between men and women in the middle years, when Korean women remain in New Zealand to care for children while men return to Korea to work.
