Newspaper readership, 2011–13

This graph shows readership figures for 2011–12 and 2012–13 for the print versions of New Zealand's five biggest daily newspapers. All saw a decrease in numbers, and the Sunday papers showed a similar decline over this period. However, these figures are still higher than for most comparable countries, and suggest that a high proportion of New Zealanders maintained an interest in reading their local paper.
