This graph compares the numbers of New Zealand visitors to Asia with the numbers of Asian visitors to New Zealand. The percentage figures indicate the increase or decrease in visitor numbers in the five years from 2007. The largest number of Asian visitors to New Zealand were from China, with a 20.46% increase in numbers since 2007. There were substantial decreases in the number of visitors from Japan and Korea. China was the Asian country most visited by New Zealanders, followed by Thailand and India. All the countries shown had more visitors from New Zealand in 2011 than in 2007, with the exception of Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
