Resolutions to police apprehensions of 14–16 year olds, 2007

In 2007 more than a third of young offenders were dealt with by Police Youth Aid (alternative actions) while just over a quarter were prosecuted in the Youth Court. Police can issue warnings if they consider the offence relatively minor – a further quarter of offenders were dealt with this way in 2007.
