Workforce in the three main sectors

This graph shows that over 70 years the tertiary (services) industry sector employed more people than either of the other main industrial sectors. The percentages employed in primary and secondary industries declined after 1936. By 2006 the tertiary sector employed twice as many people as the other two sectors combined.
