Rock 'n' roll single, 1962

The explosive popularity of rock ’n' roll music from the late 1950s gave a massive boost to the New Zealand recording industry. Locally produced records sold in large numbers. This is the sleeve for the 1962 hit single 'Breaking up is hard to do', performed by Hamilton band the Satellites and recorded by Kiwi Records. In the 21st century the Satellites continued playing regularly, retaining most of their original lineup.
