Story: Media and politics

Paul Henry

Paul Henry

Broadcaster Paul Henry was at the centre of several public controversies over his questioning and treatment of guests on the morning television show, Breakfast, and he resigned in late 2010. Despite – or perhaps because of – his outrageous style, he received a number of awards, including People's Choice Award at the 2010 Qantas NZ Film and Television Awards. In 2011 Henry joined private broadcaster Mediaworks as a host on Radio Live, and in 2012 he moved to Australia to host the Network Ten breakfast show. Henry returned to New Zealand in 2014 to host a late night news show on TV3.
