Acquiescing to reforms

Three years after questioning the basis on which protection was removed and asking why tariff cuts were being considered, the Manufacturers’ Federation had moved on. It was no longer focused on the domestic market, and a ‘world competitive’ manufacturing sector with strong export potential was the aim in 1993.
