Tuatara compilation poster

This 1980s poster advertises record label Flying Nun’s Tuatara compilation of 12 New Zealand bands and artists – available at the time on vinyl LP and cassette. An iconic New Zealand animal, the tuatara appears in many places in popular culture – it featured in the 1956 children’s story, Hutu and Kawa meet Tuatara by Avis Acres, and Victoria University of Wellington published a biology journal, Tuatara, from 1947 to 1993.
