William Williams's Māori dictionary, 1844

This is the first page of the first edition of the Māori-language dictionary compiled by the Reverend William Williams, published in 1844. Subsequent editions were edited by Williams's descendants and others, and the dictionary remained in print as a vital resource for Māori language learning in the 21st century.
