Shacklock Orion range advertisement, 1898 (1st of 5)

Shacklock Orion range advertisement, 1898

Henry Shacklock designed and built the Orion range in 1873. It was designed to burn the type of coal readily available in New Zealand, unlike British and American ranges, which did not suit that coal. The Orion was readily taken up by New Zealand cooks. This advertisement from 1898 shows a range with a double oven.
