Waitangi Tribunal Te Reo Māori report, 1986

The Waitangi Tribunal's 1986 report on the Te Reo Māori claim has the Tribunal's logo, designed by Cliff Whiting, on its cover. The claim was lodged with the tribunal in 1985 by Huirangi Waikerepuru and Nga Kaiwhakapumau i te Reo (the Wellington Board of Māori Language). The tribunal's findings on the claim, outlined in this report, had dramatic and lasting effects on the use of Māori in New Zealand society.
