Story: Whānau – Māori and family

Te Whānau o Waipareira

Te Whānau o Waipareira

Te Whānau o Waipareira Trust (West Auckland) was founded in 1984 and is one of a number of Urban Māori Authorities. While it is not a 'whānau' in a traditional sense, the term is used as an inclusive metaphor for those who are assisted by the trust.
