Divorce publicity

Newspaper reports of divorce ranged from detailed and scandalous accounts to lists of more ordinary cases. Shown here is a 1912 report printed in Wellington’s Evening Post. It names all those involved and the causes: misconduct (usually affairs), drunkenness and desertion.
