Deer yards should have high, solid walls that animals cannot see through or over, and, preferably, a curving raceway that leads them into the circular crush. Curved walls entice deer to go forward and move out of sight of those following. They can then be separated into different pens or herded along a raceway, which may also be curved, to a loading ramp for transport off the farm.
