Hamish Carter and Bevan Docherty, Athens, 2004

This caricature by Murray Webb depicts New Zealand triathletes Hamish Carter (right) and Bevan Docherty (left) wearing laurel wreaths. At the 2004 Athens Olympics, Carter won gold in the triathlon and Docherty won silver. The triathlon consists of a 1,500-metre swim, a 40-kilometre bike ride and finally a 10-kilometre run. Carter won with a time of 1 hour, 51 minutes, 7.73 seconds, just 8 seconds ahead of Docherty.
