Commenting on New Zealand’s relative influence in world politics, this cartoon was a response to Foreign Minister Don McKinnon’s assertion that election to the United Nations Security Council in 1993 ‘puts us in the 1st XV of international security’. Cartoonist Frank Greenall suggests otherwise, depicting McKinnon, in an All Black jersey, handing out oranges to much larger players, who talk amongst themselves.
