Real estate sharks

This cartoon for ‘Mako real estate’ sums up a common perception of real estate agents in 2007. Public concern about the service provided by some real estate agents led to law changes to regulate the industry more strictly. The Real Estate Agents Act 2008 tightened up legal requirements for the training and licensing of real estate agents, and established an independent disciplinary tribunal.
