Rural protest

Rural protest

Tom Scott’s 2006 cartoon satirises the response of the farming community to the idea that all dogs, including farm dogs, should be microchipped in a campaign to reduce dog attacks on people. Outraged farmers held meetings and Federated Farmers leaders protested that dogs on farms were unlikely to be a danger to the public.
