Real Auckland? (2nd of 2)

Real Auckland?

Peter Siddell is among New Zealand’s foremost landscape painters, working in a realist style. This work entitled ‘House and Cloud’ is highly evocative of Auckland, but does not depict an actual scene. Rather it is a distillation of landscape elements, composed to encourage viewers to see Auckland in different ways.
