Dairy product exports by volume, 1999–2006

Between 1999 and 2006 total dairy export volume increased from 1.1 million tonnes to 1.5 million tonnes. Butter, cheese and skim milk powder all showed a small increase, but it was the increase in whole milk powder exports from 0.44 million tonnes in 1999 to 0.63 million tonnes in 2006 that was mainly responsible for the increase in total exports.
