Small alpine cicada

Adult cicadas have a broad head and a tapered body with two pairs of wings. This specimen of a small alpine cicada, now named Kikihia subalpina, was collected in 1893 in Karori, Wellington, by entomologist George Hudson.

At school i am studying about cicada's and my teacher found this website so i go on it everyday. Today i told my mum and dad some information and they said they hear them in Tonga.(Ps they come from Tonga) by Elizabeth
