Trees and farmland near Gisborne

Image
Trees and farmland near Gisborne

This rural scene is typical of much of New Zealand’s farmed landscape. Willows, poplars, pines and macrocarpa can be seen in the paddocks, and a variety of tall ornamental trees are planted near a homestead (centre). In the distance (left and centre) are a couple of isolated patches of native bush surrounded by pasture.
