Animal campaigner Norm Hewitt

Former All Black rugby player Norm Hewitt relaxes at home with his daughter Elizabeth and their cat Huna. In 2006 Hewitt began fronting ‘One of the family’, a Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals educational campaign to promote healthy attitudes towards animals. The campaign aimed to teach school children the benefits of caring for pets, and raise public awareness about the links between animal abuse and domestic violence.

Hi Norm. You came to my school Te Puke Intermediate the other day and I learnt a lot about animals. We are doing speeches at the moment and I am doing my speech on animal abuse. I would like to thank you for all the help and information you have required to our school. Thank you very much Norm. From Hollie Tucker
