Domestic consumption and exports of wine

Domestic consumption of New Zealand wines fluctuated around an annual volume of 40 million litres between 1980 and 2007. In the same period, export volumes increased dramatically. In 2007, New Zealand wines were sold in 95 countries and exports made up 60% of total New Zealand wine sales.
