This 2004 episode of the television programme Queer nation looks at the then-new show Takatāpui, which was broadcast on Māori Television and was probably the world's first indigenous gay, lesbian and transgender TV series. Here Takatāpui presenters Tania Simon and Taurewa Biddle discuss the show and give a number of terms in te reo Māori (the Māori language) for different sexual and gender identities.
