Story: Exhibitions and world’s fairs

The Franco–British Exhibition was a major commercial venture, with a big amusement park. It was held at White City in London. As can be seen here, New Zealand did much to promote the country as a hunting, shooting and fishing mecca. But there were also displays about New Zealand's major exports – wool, lamb, butter and cheese.
