Music is an area where a distinctive Pacific Island identity has emerged. Young Pacific Islanders draw on other influences such as African-American culture, to develop their own style and sound. The lead singer of this Polynesian hip hop band, Nesian Mystik, is Donald McNulty, a New Zealand-born Tongan.
