Fred Tschopp's first landscape architecture project in New Zealand was developing plans for various Mt Albert Borough Council reserves. His plan for the Mt Albert Domain (now called Owairaka Domain) consisted of heavy planting around and through the cone of the mountain, which had been extensively quarried, with sport and recreation areas on either side of the trees. The domain is largely the same in the 2000s.
