New Zealander Jeremy Waldron studied law and philosophy at the University of Otago in the 1970s, and went on to gain a D.Phil from Oxford University in England. He is a specialist in the philosophy of law, and holds professorships at New York University School of Law and All Souls College, Oxford University. In this discussion with Harry Kreisler, Waldron talks about his background, then addresses questions on the legal concept of dignity and its importance in human rights.
