The Mixer's <em>Transport workers' song book</em>, 1926

The Transport workers' song bookby 'The Mixer' (Harry Kirk) was published in 1926. Kirk, whose photo adorns the cover, was a waterside worker based at Greymouth in the early 20th century. He wrote and performed many songs about the lives of working people, often with a satirical edge. A staunch unionist, he was for a time secretary of the Greymouth Watersiders' Union.
