This table shows the percentage of women members of the governing boards of sporting code and of women participating in different sports in 2007. The sports for which women were 50% or more of total participants were netball (95% women), synchronised swimming (94%), ice skating (93%), roller sports (75%), modern pentathlon/biathlon (75%), gymnastics (70%), equestrian sports (65%), hockey (55%), rowing (55%), swimming (55%), triathlon (55%), korfball (50%), swimming (50%), basketball (50%) and tennis (50%).

Synchronised swimming – almost entirely played by women – was the only sport with 100% female board members. This correlation was unusual – sports with similarly high female participation rates tended to have female board memberships of around two-thirds. Some sports with significant female membership had very low female board participation: 50% of tennis players were women, but only 11% of board members; 55% of rowers were female, but there were no women on the board.
