Newsreel footage of the Auckland Trotting Cup race in December 1945 shows the large crowd that gathered at Alexandra Park for the occasion. In an exciting finish, Seabourne, owned by C. Johnstone and driven by J. Price, won the cup and a prize of £3,000.
