Protesting on the 150th anniversary of the Treaty of Waitangi

A group of protesters on the roof of a bus at Waitangi in 1990, on the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi. The Kotahitanga (Māori parliament movement) and tino rangatiratanga flags, among others, fly from the bus, and banners with slogans such as ‘150 years of oppression’ demonstrate opposition to the commemorations.
