Speaker of the House, 2011

The speaker of the House in 2011, Dr Lockwood Smith, walks to the debating chamber behind the serjeant at arms, who is carrying the ceremonial mace, the symbol of the speaker's authority. Rather than the traditional speaker's robes, Smith is wearing his academic gown.
