Wellington author Nicky Hager has made extensive use of the Official Information Act in his books about confidential aspects of New Zealand government policy. He has supplemented the material he received from OIA requests with information provided by many other sources. This is Hager at the August 2011 launch of his book Other people’s wars, as he describes this combination of research methods.
