Harrison Scaife (centre) was awarded the Jamieson Belt for scientific boxing at the Boxing New Zealand national amateur championships in 2011. He is flanked by his grandfather, Alan Scaife (left), and father, Grant Scaife, both boxing champions in previous decades.

The Jamieson Belt is awarded to the boxer with the best technique. Harrison Scaife wears the belt slung over his shoulders and holds the Bill O'Connor Cup for the youngest senior winner. Grant Scaife was also awarded the Joe Thwaites Shield for coaching the most scientific title winner.
