As this table shows, New Zealand lost the highest percentage of men of eligible age among Britain's dominions. However, its losses were lower than among men from the United Kingdom and Scotland in particular. The loss of men in the Central Powers, particularly Germany and Turkey, was significantly higher, while East European countries such as Serbia and Romania had a cataclysmic level of deaths from the war.
