Story: Asian conflicts

In the 1965 film New Zealanders in South-east Asia,Dr Jack Enwright and members of the New Zealand surgical team treat Vietnamese patients at Qui Nhon. The civilian medical team was stationed at Qui Nhon, Binh Dinh province, Vietnam, from 1963 to 1975. In 1967 New Zealand sent a joint services medical team to treat civilian casualties. It too was based in Binh Dinh province, at Bong Son, to the north of Qui Nhon. In 1968 New Zealand also sent a Red Cross team to the province, which worked to help Vietnamese and Montagnard refugees. The Montagnards are hill tribespeople of different ethnic background to the Vietnamese.
