Kahungunu and his wives

This map shows the places where Kahungunu, the eponymous ancestor of Ngāti Kahungunu, married his wives and had children. Because of his many marriages, whakapapa links back to Kahungunu are more complex than the links to distant ancestors usually seen in other tribal whakapapa.
