Rua Kēnana, Maungapōhatu, 1908

Rua Kēnana stands on the walkway to the building which was the courthouse and meeting house (known as Hiona and Te Whare Kāwana) of his community at Maungapōhatu. On the walkway are Te Akakura (left), Te Āue, Rua Kēnana, Whaitiri, Whakaataata and Mihiroa. Whirimako (left) and Pinepine Te Rika stand on the stairs.
