Mental health community organisations: Lifeline

Lifeline, a free telephone counselling service, was set up in 1965 for people experiencing personal difficulties. These life crises, such as the death of a family member or the break-up of a personal relationship, may trigger mental health problems. This flyer advertised Lifeline in 1982. Today the nationwide phone number is 0800 543 354.
