Image
Doctor's practising certificate

Doctors must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand before they can practise medicine under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003. Registration ensures the doctor is fit to practise and has demonstrated that she or he has met required standards. This is a sample practising certificate.
