In this photograph from 2005, Niuean woman Tifa Ikitoelagi (aged 75) dances with others at the Pasifika Festival in Auckland. In the 21st century indicators suggested that the proportion of the older population who identify themselves as Pacific Islanders will increase, from 7.8% in 2013 to 10% in 2038.
