Story: Ethnic inequalities

Polyfest

Video file

Since 1976 Polyfest has provided Aucklanders with a unique expression of Pacific Island culture, and has become the largest Polynesian festival in the world. Schools from the Auckland region perform on five stages – Māori, Cook Islands, Niuean, Samoan and Tongan – in March each year. This clip shows the competition among Samoan performers in the 2010 event.
