This diver is approaching the hammer and sickle painted on the funnel of the Mikhail Lermontov. This Russian cruise ship is now lying on her starboard side at Port Gore in the Marlborough Sounds. She is in 30 metres of water and has become an artificial reef attracting invertebrates and schools of fish. The wreck has become a popular dive site.
