Manurewa

<em>Manurewa</em>

Brothers Leo Walsh (born in England) and Vivian Walsh (born in New Zealand after the family emigrated) built this British-designed Howard Wright biplane from imported parts. They flew it at Auckland on 5 February 1911 – the first officially-recorded flight in New Zealand.
